PREGNANCY AND CHILDBIRTH
Nurturing Pregnancy Class
This class is designed for mothers in the first and early second trimesters who want to get a great start on pregnancy. The class includes information on nutrition,exercise and self care for a healthy, happy pregnancy as well as a variety of activities and topics designed to enhance your connection to your baby and make pregnancy a more loving, joyful experience for all! Every participant receives a Nurturing Baby and Me book and CD, a $20 value.

This series is a thorough exploration of important subjects in childbirth including:
- preparing for childbirth
- anatomy of pregnancy
- the stages of labor
- comfort measures for childbirth
- interventions and pain medications during childbirth
- preparing a birth plan

POSTPARTUM AND FAMILY CARE
Breastfeeding Class
This class covers all aspects of breastfeeding from the benefits of breastfeeding to dealing with breastfeeding challenges.

Baby Care Class
This class covers all aspects of early baby care including:
- bathing
- diapering
- cord care
- soothing colic and fussiness
- sleep
- feeding

The benefits of wearing your baby in a carrier or a sling are numerous and include less crying and more learning for your baby as well as more hands free time for you. Learn different methods of baby wearing for different aged children and get on the path to having a happier baby and a happier home.

This class covers the benefits of infant massage as well as the basics of infant massage techniques. Massage benefits include relief of discomfort and colic, improved sleep, bonding and attachment, increased immunity, relaxation, and better digestion, just to name a few.

Baby Sign Basics
This class teaches the basics of getting started signing with your baby. Using sign language to communicate with your baby can reduce frustration, increase communication and improve bonding and attachment. Participants will learn how to begin signing with their babies along with a vocabulary of starter signs.

CPR AND SAFETY
Family and Friends - Family and Friends courses are non-certifying classes designed to teach family and caregivers the basics of CPR and First Aid for infants, children and adults. Family and Friends courses can be designed to teach lifesaving skills for infants, children, adults, or all ages.
Heartsaver CPR - Heartsaver classes are designed for lay rescuers who wish to be certified in CPR and/or First Aid. Classes can be designed for instruction in CPR, First Aid, or combined for any or all ages.
Pediatric First Aid - Pediatric First Aid is an in depth certification course in CPR and First Aid for infants and children through age 8. This course is designed for parents, caregivers and professionals who want a more detailed and thorough knowledge of pediatric lifesaving skills.
BLS for Healthcare Providers - This course is designed for those working in healthcare or childcare settings who desire a Basic Life Support level certification. Discussion and practice of CPR for all ages as well as common medical equipment used in lifesaving measures are included.
Costs and times for CPR and First Aid classes vary by length, location, and number of participants. We conduct classes in our Idaho Springs office and also travel throughout the metro, foothills and mountain areas to provide courses for groups and businesses.
